We decided to live in the New Forest, as had always been a dream for me to get as close to horses and ponies as possible without actually owning one. My husband had spent many happy childhood years living in the New Forest and had spent the last 20 years for being in our caravan bound for the weekend and holidays each year.
Although I am a little time caravans good - if it rained and hailed by day I wanted to go home - not just as the rain blows on the tin roof, basically, you can take - when you finish reading the consumer and the wine it's time to go home! But surprisingly we had a flurry of incidents and I think only two incidents that threw the glass - tempered, of course - in the van and called it a day. This is not bad for England?
We had always remained as a basis as possible - we need water and wastewater treatment, and a place to put our garbage, and that was it. I had never been interested in the communal shower block or area preparation plant is a camp store, New Forest, and thankfully very few camps to offer them. Our caravan had a good shower and when I went home a little grubbier 'than I usually was at home, then too bad - I had a lot of fun, and I've seen some amazing sites (and sounds if the owls were flying head at sunset - amazing).
Recently I discovered on my dog there last New Forest campsites located in the heart of this beautiful National Park UK. Now I live in New Forest, sometimes I go through these camps. I went through a campsite Longbeech known a few weeks ago and came across a wonderful site.
A couple had set up their caravans from the beech, but on the edge of a flat area of grass. They had built a bird feeder large branched using a large branch in a secure base, they had brought from home. Six or seven feeders full of seeds, and there was a wide variety of birds border with great enthusiasm. I was only there a short time, and I saw nuthatches, great tits, coal tits, blue tits, siskins, sparrows and finches green and gold. The owner Sat enjoying the birds and a cup of tea, and had all his books on birds placed in front of her, no bird escaped identification.
Curiously, it was when I missed most of my trailer because we had sold it! In fact, if we still had it I would have booked me in this camp for the weekend - and only about 5 miles from my house - it really capture the beauty and the chance to co-exist with nature, a visit to a new forest camping can provide.
I went back and looked at the names and locations of camps in the New Forest. I found that there are ten of the Forestry Commission Campsites. They are a little different. Some are set in beautiful beech wood, other places of wilderness and offers spectacular views. They are made in the New Forest which simply means that you are free to wander, as are the New Forest horses, cows, donkeys and even pigs! You should be careful and please, never, never touch or feed animals. If you feed them, can cause a slow and painful death by colic. Conference!
It 'was really a wonderful show, and showed only what you can enjoy the experience if you visit one of these campsites in the New Forest. Although I spoke a couple of ponies pulling a small cart came through the camp, and I had a quick chat to the driver and his two partners. I said what a nice couple they were and then had to explain that I meant passengers to pony! I can not imagine a finer way to explore the New Forest.
All New Forest 10 campsites are in different states - some of you must have your own tent or caravan toilets, others offer showers and toilets. Some are best suited to bring the dog, while others are based on family or a residence that is ideal for a quiet place to enjoy only peace and tranquility of the New Forest. There is so much to see and do, if you decide to stay in the New Forest camping site that the UK National Park. If you love nature and nature must be an experience to remember forever and go back. After visiting quite a few 'now, which offers nature and wildlife of love, and, of course, camping and caravan, I can not imagine a better way to escape from the stress and hectic lifestyles we live today. You can explore the coast and visit places such as Christchurch and Mudeford, or take some attractions such as Beaulieu and Paultons Park or just sit and relax away from the stresses and strains of modern life!
I like the New Forest horses, cows, donkeys and pigs outside my door and this year the colts were adorable - I want to adopt every one of them! The New Forest is a very special place to live, but also a wonderful place to visit and I am sure you will enjoy your stay. Whether you brave camping in a tent or go for more luxury in your own caravan or camping or camper home, nature is just outside your door and is likely to hear a little rustling at night if you have the windows open - we often hear the constant grinding of teeth to chew the grass that the cows in our windows - better than hearing the noise of the city every time I think!

The New Forest Wildlife

The forest is a living and working place where ponies and cattle freely graze the land and help to keep the patchwork of different habitats intact. Deeper in the forest, wild deer browse beneath canopies of mighty oak and beech – natural scenes unchanged by the modern world.
The open heaths of The New Forest are ideal basking grounds for adders and grass snakes, and the many pools dotted around the area make ideal conditions for frogs, toads and lizards. All of these can be seen at The New Forest Reptile Centre, which also offers woodland trails.
There are dozens of events throughout the year to help you get close to nature – from Dawn Chorus Walks to Deer Watches. Why not use public transport to make your day complete.
Try exploring the forest at different times of year and at different times of day. The forest is most atmospheric at dusk – you also stand the best chance of seeing deer, bats and nightjars

The New Forest

The New Forest is a former royal hunting area in the south of England. It was created in 1079 by William I (known as William the Conqueror) as a hunting area, principally of deer.
It is a unique area of historical, ecological and agricultural significance, and retains many of the rural practices conceded by the Crown in historical times to local people. Principal of these is the pasturing of ponies, cattle, pigs and donkeys in the open Forest by local inhabitants known as commoners. The New Forest has also been an important source of timber for the Crown.
